just last week, i was thinking, i haven't gave her a good surprise for rather long. so i started planning. after lots of lying and lots of screw up, i managed to get her a bag that she wanted. and of course, it must go well with a full package.

i read an article about having conversation (btw, LEXEAN is a damn good magazine.). the article mentioned how we have no longer write love letters with our scent to our lovers. and with this in mind, i started the full packaging.

i managed to find an excuse to pull the stunt off. our 200th day together. we were supposed to go on a random shopping trip to get her new shoes. i brought along a big box, which i claimed that it's my prototype for my design project. knowing that she will try to take a peep, i sort of cover the box with newspaper before using a normal plastic bag to cover it. she believed it is my prototype. :)

as the night time drew closer, she kept on asking how and when am i going to pass the prototype to my friend. i kept on lying that we will be meeting much later. and i managed to trick her to wnat to go somewhere quiet to sit down and rest our legs. the original plan to sit in front of the fountain at takashimaya was scrapped due to crowd. i had to lie yet again that i will be meeting my friend elsewhere. so we landed up outside somerset station, watching people do their skating and all. we were at a cosy little corner of our own. and i set the bomb off.

"i have a good news and a bad news for you."

and when i told her that the bad news is that i lied to her, she got all so worried. that was kind of cute.

"the lie is that this box isn't my prototype. i'm not meeting my friend at all"

that was the first shock.

the second shock came when she opened the box and saw the bag she liked so much for so long.

the third shock came when i asked her to look into the bag and she found a love letter in a newspaper format.

the forth shock came when i asked her to smell the paper.

the fifth shock came when she looked into the bags and found 100 heartshaped paper with handwritten "i love you" on it.

mission accomplished. i made her happy once again.

and through this, both of us learnt something very important. the previous day when i lied to her so as to be able to go get the gift, she suspected that i was meeting another girl. there was nothing i could do.

i told her "trust me". and walked off.

and she did.

and it is not easy to lie to someone you hold so close to your heart. even if the lies were meant to make her happy eventually.

(alright. this is just a boasting post. i just want to boast a lil. i spent so much effort on it. haha)
